My name is Lisa
Petrakis and I am the Residential Life Coordinator for Sophomore College. I
worked with many of you last year in Beze, Herndon, and McLean and I am very
excited to be moving to Sophomore College! I graduated from Trinity in 2011 with a degree in anthropology and began
working in the Residential Life Office in August of that same year, so I was a
member of the first SoCol class back in 2008!
The sophomore
year is an exciting time in your Trinity career as you will be solidifying friendships,
seeking leadership positions in organizations, determining if you’d like to
study abroad, and declaring a major.
You’re all grappling with all these important decisions and transitions,
so we’re offering free StrengthsQuest codes to assist. StrengthsQuest is a frequently used tool that
will help you discover your greatest talents, develop leadership skills, assist
with relationship management, and more. Be sure to complete your StrengthsQuest
assessment before you return to campus. Feel free to e-mail
me if you have any
questions.
Move-in for
sophomores begins on Saturday, August 23 rd. Stop by the Witt Center
to get your inventory form and key. When
you’re settled, stop by the SoCol Kick Off event on Sunday, August 24 th,
at 1 p.m. on Prassel Lawn. We’ll have free food and giveaways!
Check back with
me in the August 28 th newsletter for details about Hallympics and
upcoming SoCol programs!
