Happy November, 17'ers! I'm writing
you from the Okinawa airport at the end of a work trip to Japan, and I find
myself marveling again what an amazingly diverse and educational world we live
in. You have the perfect chance to experience the freedom of travel and
learning from other cultures through the Study Abroad program, so check it
out! One date this month to remember:
Nov 11th, Veteran's Day. On that day make a special effort to thank a Vet for
her or his contribution to the freedoms we enjoy right here at home. Maybe also
spend a quiet moment of thanks in front of the marker between the campus
flagpoles near Northrup, and think about TU grad Tom Chenault whose memory is
honored there. If you travel for Thanksgiving, please be smart, be careful, and
be safe!
